Beauty PR indulges in Chocolate Heaven

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Chocolate lovers everywhere rejoice! In a recent study, it has been proven that chocolate is actually good for us. Eating one square a day of chocolate, preferably dark, can actually help to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of stroke and heart disease. As cardiovascular disease is Britain’s biggest killer, taking more than 200,000 deaths a year, the suggestion that chocolate could reduce this risk is welcomed. Scientifically being encouraged to indulge in one of the nation’s favourite naughty treats will please thousands of chocolate addicts all over the country.

The study, published in the European Heart Journal, states that just 7.5 grams of chocolate a day can boost your health; those who ate just 1.5 grams were a higher risk of cardiovascular disease. It is the flavanols, substances that subside in cocoa, that boost nitric acid levels, resulting in lowered blood pressure. Although the results of this study are undoubtedly pleasing to the sweet toothed consumer, the high calorie content and saturated fat still remains. Professor Frank Ruschitzka reminds us “before you rush to add dark chocolate to your diet, be aware that 100g of dark chocolate contains roughly 500 calories.” With this in mind, the consumer may be interested in getting their overindulgent chocolate fix through other means. This paves the way for those working in public relations to endorse chocolate branded products to suit the consumer’s desires.

For Beauty PR experts, this gives them scope to further promote the array of chocolate themed or flavoured products on offer. At significant times of the year, Valentine’s Day Easter and Christmas in particular, these themed beauty items are endorsed by effective public relations. They are able to encourage the consumer to pamper themselves in their own chocolate dream. With the new results that chocolate can be good for us, those in Beauty PR will be working to expose the cocoa based beauty merchandise on offer. The range of these types of products that are currently in the market span from custard chocolate soufflé moisturisers to chocolate cleansing make up remover. In addition to this there are flavoured lipsticks and coloured nail varnishes. There is even a chocolate body wrap available at Neville Hair and Beauty Salon in London, completely coating the consumer in the melted opulent substance. The sheer amount of stock and treatments on offer in the beauty sector that is connected to chocolate proves the popularity of these seemingly luxurious products.

The study will have worked in favour of chocolate pampering treats, and for those in reputation management who can ensure this scientific standing is upheld. The opportunity arises to add an extra layer to the promotion of these beauty products by pitching the health boosts found in cocoa as well as the moisturising qualities which can improve skin and hair for both beauty and health PR Agencies.

Following this study, it is integral that all chocolate branded products get publicized to make use of the new information regarding its health boost. Public relations within the beauty division have a wide range of products that have great opportunity to be further endorsed. Chocolate is often advertised as a luxurious treat, and now it can even reduce the risk of heart disease – as if the nation ever needed an excuse to dive into chocolate!

DISH Network, a Boon for Working Moms

Monday, May 17th, 2010

I have to go for work. But there is something that lurks in the back of my mind. My kids are left at home alone. Recently though there is a nanny to take care of them, but I cannot stop thinking about them. My husband stays in France for work. So it was not possible for us to toggle shifts. I had reached a point where I was working in the office but thinking about my children. It was disturbing and a source of nagging problem. Quitting the job was not a viable option too. I had to do something by which this issue could be solved. It was then that I heard of DISH Network satellite TV services. Though the idea sounded far fetched, I tried to give it a shot.

I opted for low cost DISH Network package that gives maximum channels for children’s viewing. DISH Network helped me to forget worrying about my children. My kids love to dance and play. So the TLC channel helps them to do as they please. Being a channel especially for pre-schoolers, the satellite TV channel has useful stuff showing on it throughout the day. The programs are violence free and they help them to learn even when they are at play. Another DISH TV channel, Family Room also offers quality programs. They are suitable for my kids and also keep the nanny happy. When my kids fall asleep, the nanny relaxes by indulging in her satellite TV favorite programs. I no longer have to worry about channel locking. My kids are safe and I can work with relief.

Olds & Technology

Monday, May 10th, 2010

The invention of the DVD recorder is a wonderful thing. I’ll tell you why. My parents are quite old and technology still baffles them. They can barely work the TV. Getting them a DVD player was a mission and the aftermath consisted of lengthy tutorials in inserting the DVD, removing the DVD and working the remote control. The reason they were so against getting a DVD player is that they were really used to their VCR. Furthermore, I used to tape videos for them (because recording was an art they never managed to master) and they have this thing about recording shows they like and watching them afterwards – seriously, it is an actual hobby. And they used to get me to do it and then their big lobby against the DVD player was, but we won’t be able to record things anymore! That’s why the DVD recorder is a wonderful thing. Not only have I managed to make DVDs of all their videos, I can record shows for them in the same way that they’re used to. And they don’t ask for much my parents, they’ve given me and my siblings the best upbringing. But it’s great being able to record things on TV with the DVD recorder.

My Wife & Costume Jewellery

Monday, May 10th, 2010

I am an avid blogger and have a variety of blog of my own ranging from my fishing site to my pet dogs blog – don’t ask – my wife’s idea. However, I don’t normally blog about jewellery – in fact costume jewellery to be precise. I have been trying to get my wife some jewellery for ages, and it turns out, that although she likes the expensive jewellery I by here she also like the inexpensive costumer and fashion jewellery – I did not notice this until recently and I have spent the last few weeks researching and looking for some nice jewellery for the ‘misses’. I am pretty thorough when it comes to research and I have found a few sites but one that I thought worthy of mentioning in a blog (no it’s not an advert) is Chic Fashion Jewellery – really nice service, great selection and an absolute gold mine for presents for my wife so really chuffed to bits about that.
