I have to go for work. But there is something that lurks in the back of my mind. My kids are left at home alone. Recently though there is a nanny to take care of them, but I cannot stop thinking about them. My husband stays in France for work. So it was not possible for us to toggle shifts. I had reached a point where I was working in the office but thinking about my children. It was disturbing and a source of nagging problem. Quitting the job was not a viable option too. I had to do something by which this issue could be solved. It was then that I heard of DISH Network satellite TV services. Though the idea sounded far fetched, I tried to give it a shot.

I opted for low cost DISH Network package that gives maximum channels for children’s viewing. DISH Network helped me to forget worrying about my children. My kids love to dance and play. So the TLC channel helps them to do as they please. Being a channel especially for pre-schoolers, the satellite TV channel has useful stuff showing on it throughout the day. The programs are violence free and they help them to learn even when they are at play. Another DISH TV channel, Family Room also offers quality programs. They are suitable for my kids and also keep the nanny happy. When my kids fall asleep, the nanny relaxes by indulging in her satellite TV favorite programs. I no longer have to worry about channel locking. My kids are safe and I can work with relief.

Olds & Technology

May 10th, 2010

The invention of the DVD recorder is a wonderful thing. I’ll tell you why. My parents are quite old and technology still baffles them. They can barely work the TV. Getting them a DVD player was a mission and the aftermath consisted of lengthy tutorials in inserting the DVD, removing the DVD and working the remote control. The reason they were so against getting a DVD player is that they were really used to their VCR. Furthermore, I used to tape videos for them (because recording was an art they never managed to master) and they have this thing about recording shows they like and watching them afterwards – seriously, it is an actual hobby. And they used to get me to do it and then their big lobby against the DVD player was, but we won’t be able to record things anymore! That’s why the DVD recorder is a wonderful thing. Not only have I managed to make DVDs of all their videos, I can record shows for them in the same way that they’re used to. And they don’t ask for much my parents, they’ve given me and my siblings the best upbringing. But it’s great being able to record things on TV with the DVD recorder.

I am an avid blogger and have a variety of blog of my own ranging from my fishing site to my pet dogs blog – don’t ask – my wife’s idea. However, I don’t normally blog about jewellery – in fact costume jewellery to be precise. I have been trying to get my wife some jewellery for ages, and it turns out, that although she likes the expensive jewellery I by here she also like the inexpensive costumer and fashion jewellery – I did not notice this until recently and I have spent the last few weeks researching and looking for some nice jewellery for the ‘misses’. I am pretty thorough when it comes to research and I have found a few sites but one that I thought worthy of mentioning in a blog (no it’s not an advert) is Chic Fashion Jewellery – really nice service, great selection and an absolute gold mine for presents for my wife so really chuffed to bits about that.

Online Designer Clothes

May 10th, 2010

The internet has opened up the world as a market and thank god for that – I mean I can literally buy from anywhere in the world – all sorts of products and services – I can review and pick from numerous sites before I make my purchase and I can read reviews and blog posts about certain products before I choose which one I would like – amazing. I have recently turned my attention to buying designer clothes online, I used to always buy my clothes in land based shops – but because I run a successful business I just don’t have the time and that can get me down as I love my designer clothes. Shopping online has allowed to be rekindled this passion and allows me to over order – for different sizes and colours – try them on in the security of my own time at my leisure and then send back what I don’t want – brilliant if you ask me.

Celebrity style at the races

April 30th, 2010

A day at the races always makes for a fun filled day out but as avid fashion followers will know, it’s definitely an occasion to get dressed up for.

At this year’s Aintree races celebrity WAG Coleen Rooney wowed the fashion crowds in two bang on trend outfits; a floaty peach layered dress and a tight, body hugging black mini dress.

Of course, we can’t all afford top designer clothing, however the sale on at Very.co.uk has some fantastic offers on the moment, and they even have a dedicated ‘Day at the Races’ occasionwear section, which is rather handy for all of you on the lookout for a fantastic new outfit.

You’ll find plenty of different dressed on offer from beautiful maxi dresses through to cocktail style dresses or like Coleen you could opt for a body hugging mini dress or a more classic floaty dress.
If you really want to go for classic style at the races then of course headwear is the way to go. Why not opt for a dramatic hat in a bright colour or with detailing, or stay with this season’s trend for fascinators which could see you showing off in feathers, or adding a bit of shine to your outfit with a jewelled creation.

Of course no outfit would be complete without the ultimate accessory, a pair of fantastic shoes. For all you footwear fanatics out there, the sale section at Very also has plenty of shoes on offer to, so you should be able to find some brilliant style choices, at a fraction of the cost that it costs the celebrities.

Now you know where to go and grab yourself a fantastic outfit for your Races day out, you just need to hope that luck is on your side and that the sun keeps shining and if you’re really lucky you might even win a race or two.
